PHILOSOPHY
-
Food is amoral. The foods you eat do not make you a good or a bad person.
-
The size and shape of your body is neither a moral issue nor a reflection of your value as a human being.
-
Your body is designed to lead you toward health. It is a friend who wants you to flourish and is trying to communicate its wisdom to you.
-
Food has physiological outcomes affecting energy, blood sugar, hormones, and the microbiome.
-
Nature intended food to be communal, pleasurable, and healing. Man-made foods are pleasurable, yet empty counterfeits.
-
Our toxic environment poses challenges to healthy living.
-
You are the expert on your body. We are partners to help translate what your body is communicating, reflect on what is and is not working, and support you with tools and encouragement.
-
Restrictive diets don’t work.
-
Sustainable change takes time.
-
You are (and have always been) doing the best you can with the tools and resources you have. Let’s build up these tools and resources together.
